Step 1: Pre-Inspection & Documentation

Every rug is carefully inspected, photographed, and recorded in a written report before any cleaning begins. This allows us to assess the condition, fiber type, and any areas that may need special attention.

Step 2: Dust & Debris Removal

What goes in must come out. We remove embedded dust and dry soils using a specialised rug dusting machine - or by hand, just like in the old days - depending on the rug’s material and condition. This step is essential for a thorough clean.

Step 3: Colourfastness Testing

Before any water touches your rug, we test its dyes for stability. While most modern rugs don’t bleed, we always check to prevent colour transfer or fading - better safe than sorry.

Step 4: Pet Treatments & Spot Cleaning

Odour removal starts at the source. Our unique pet treatment solutions are designed to eliminate odours - not just mask them. We also pre-treat spots and stains individually, as each one responds differently to cleaning.

Step 5: Immersion Washing

Your rug is gently immersed in a custom washing pit and cleaned by hand using fully biodegradable detergents. This method preserves the beauty, integrity, and history of your rug - something we take great pride in.

Step 6: Rinse & Spin Dry

Using our professional rug wringing machine, we rinse out all residues and extract up to 95% of the water content. This significantly reduces drying times while being gentle on the rug’s fibres.

Step 7: Controlled Drying & Moisture Testing

Rugs are dried in a climate-controlled environment using air movers, dehumidifiers, and an imported electric drying rack from Turkey. Every rug undergoes thorough moisture testing to ensure it’s completely dry - inside and out.

Step 8: Final Inspection & Documentation

Once dry, your rug is given a final inspection. We photograph and document the results. If it doesn’t meet our high standards, we rewash it - at no extra cost. Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed.
