Our 7 Step Rug Cleaning Process
List of Services
-
1. Inspection & AssessmentList Item 1
We inspect the rug in detail to determine its condition and the best cleaning method required. At this stage, the fibres, any specific stains, odours, and colouring requirements are analysed to formulate a plan that will produce the best possible results.
-
2. Dust Removal & Pre-VacuumList Item 2
Your rug is then hand-fed through a dusting machine which gently vibrates the existing dirt from the pile deep in the backing, allowing these dirt particles to rise to the surface so when we give it a vacuum, this removes the existing dirt and dust particles in preparation for the wash.
-
3. Pre-SprayList Item 3
We apply a pre-treatment to reduce stains by pre-spraying with a cleaning agent with an even application over the entire rug including fringes. Our technicians are fully trained so these chemicals are specifically used and measured to maximise results based off a science and chemistry background as per leading Industry-based Rug Washing and Carpet Cleaning Institution guidelines.
-
4. Deep WashList Item 4
Our expert cleaners then apply a deep wash onto the rug either by hand in a rug bath or feed it through a one-of-a-kind automated rug washing machine we had transported from Turkey in May 2022. This technique has a proven gentle buffing action on the rug fibres and assists greatly in final dirt particle removal giving it a soft and silky finish.
-
5. Drying Process
The first part of the drying process is feeding it through our state-of-the-art rinsing machine called a Centrifuge. Soft jets of cold water wash away the existing solution and the ringer process extracts the bulk of the remaining water moisture, soil removal and sanitisation. It is then hung onto our large commercial drying rack where it will remain air-drying until it is moisture tested and confirmed to be fully dry.
-
6. Stain Treatment & Colour Repair
We then perform specialized post-wash stain and colour correction techniques forcing stubborn stains, pet odours and uneven colour no chance against our extensive cleaning and restoration techniques. In some washes, colour dyes can bleed similar to when you throw different coloured clothes together in the washing machine, this proves essential in restoring the rug back to its best possible condition, a more superior finish than a steam clean can provide.
-
7. Post-Assessment & Finishing Touche
A final check is made to assess any remaining stains, odours or colour imbalances. Once passed, we re-vacuum and groom it by hand cleaning the fringes and remove any loose threads. Then finally roll it up, package it in plastic wrap (if required) and offer delivery options for you to pick up or we drop back to to your home.
